Learn to Skate
The West Salem Hockey Association Learn to Skate program is developed for first time and young skaters. This program is geared towards skaters that have very little ice skating experience or have never skated at all.
Ages
Ages 3-4 (depends on the kid) - 12
When
Season begins in mid - October or November, and runs through mid - March
Exact practice times/days will be communicated in early October
Where
West Salem Panther Den
Practices
1-2 times per week
Equipment
Skates, helmet and protective gloves are required, it is recommended to have some sort of knee and elbow padding as well.
Equipment can be borrowed from WSHA - watch for check out dates communicated by the organization.
Extra Costs
NONE - come have fun and learn to skate with friends!
2026-27 Learn To Skate
The WSHA association provides ice time for those looking to start their skating skills. Our learn to skate program helps children ages 3-7 prepare for playing hockey by starting the basics, Learing to Skate!
